ABSTRACT: Information on the type of substrate suitable for germination and seedling establishment is important propagation species recovery initiatives degraded areas. The objective this study was to determine most efficient in Mimosa caesalpiniifolia Benth. Four treatments were used, soil land, goat/sheep manure, bovine manure chicken bed with 4 replications each treatment. Hot water used break dormancy seeds. following variables analyzed: percentage, emergence speed index, shoot root length, stake diameter, dry mass seed vigor. use at 80o C, combined intrinsic characteristics physiological morphological quality seeds may have influenced results. Another factor that seedlings evaluated during 30 days, has a slow index. Despite short evaluation time, potential continue study, (T3) presented better results despite being statistically equal.
